Biography

Dr. Tasaddaq Hussain is Associate Professor of Mass Communication and Media Studies at GIFT University, Pakistan. Earlier he has worked at Jamia-Tur-Rasheed Karachi (JTRK), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and Minhaj University Lahore (MUL) Pakistan. Dr. Tasaddaq received his PhD in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Gomal University D.I. Khan (KP) in 2019. Dr. Tasaddaq likes to teach courses relating to Content Analysis and research methods. He is an HEC Approved Ph.D. Supervisor. He has published 18 research papers in HEC recognized high ranking national and international journals. His research focuses on Freedom of Expression and Blasphemy, Computer Mediated Communication and Social Media effects. Dr. Tasaddaq has been a working journalist for more than 25 years. He started his journalistic carrier in 1988 from daily Mustaqbil Abbottabad. Started his own weekly (Urdu/Hindko) magazine “Shoongaar” from Mansehra in 1990.
