Biography

Dr. Taimur Kayani is the founding director of International Language Centre at GIFT University, Pakistan. He has done PhD in English Literature with specialization in Drama and Theatre from Universiti Putra Malaysia. His teaching experience includes courses in modern and classical drama, South Asian Literature, Shakespearean Studies, Academic writing, and Business Communication Skills. In the field of language, he is also Cambridge TKT Certified. He advocates the use of theatre, Film & TV in the English language teaching. He actively participates in Film and TV production. He has directed several documentaries and short films for film festivals around the world. 

Dr. Keyani received the Best International Student Award from Mercer College, USA for undergraduate program. He has participated in many international and national conferences to highlight the issues regarding migration, dictatorship, and adaptation of western literature in Pakistan. He has been involved with drama and theatre education for over 10 years as a playwright, adjudicator, workshop instructor, resource writer, curriculum supervisor, professional development creator and keynote speaker. He is the author of a play, NO EXIT likely to be performed in Australia in Fall, 2022. He has also done MS in Film & TV in Professional track from Beaconhouse National University with specialization in Documentary Film making.
