9th Global Mental Health Research Capacity and Capability Building Program

Prof. Dr. Um i Lela had the privilege of attending the prestigious 9th Global Mental Health Research Capacity and Capability Building Program April 14 to 22, 2024 at Dubai. This 8-day program, organized by the Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning in collaboration with renowned international universities and research institutes such as NIHR, CIHR, NHS, CAMH, Toronto University, and AID UK, provided a remarkable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

During this program, Dr. Um i Lela actively participated in various capacity-building workshops and gained valuable insights. Notably, she received certificates for completing workshops on Train the Trainers for Photovoice and Grant Writing, among other highly effective capability programs. These workshops equipped her with advanced skills and knowledge in the field of creative arts therapeutic interventions.

Additionally, Dr. Lela had the honor of presenting her proposal on creative arts therapeutic intervention for school-going children. Her proposal was evaluated by a distinguished panel of national and international experts, further highlighting the recognition and importance of her research.
